To fully enjoy its quality, it is advisable to follow a small lighting ritual. Each time you light it, let the wax melt until it completely covers the surface before extinguishing it. This prevents cavities from forming in the wax and ensures even burning in subsequent uses.

The first time the candle is lit usually takes longer than subsequent times, as it is important for the top layer of wax to melt completely. The time required may vary depending on the size of the candle.

For safety, the last centimeter of wax should not be burned, thus preventing the flame from coming into direct contact with the glass.
