Caribbean flamingo design. Magnificent representation of an Audubon bird. In 1820 John James Audubon declared he would paint all the birds of North America. He completed this collection of paintings, Birds of America, in 1832. This design shows some of the elegant birds he painted.

The lacquer artisans complete every step by hand, from cutting and sanding the wood to applying the artwork. Once applied, the artwork receives finishing touches, such as genuine gold and silver leaf and hand-painted details. The final application of gloss lacquer is applied in 12 layers, giving the pieces a durable finish. The glossy coating showcases the true beauty of the original artwork and gives it a unique depth.
